The Helmuth family is rocked when patriarch Nate returns from serving the US Army in the Iraq war with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and other cognitive impairments. The family tries to rebuild their lives in a new home, but struggle with a changed husband and father as he tries to move past his disabilities and start over with a program through the Wounded Warrior Project.
